Six Modernist Artists Featured at The Art Institute of Chicago
I came across this article in The Chicago Maroon about the Art Institute’s exhibit In a Cloud, in a Wall, in a Chair: Six Modernists in Mexico at Midcentury, which I hadn’t heard of previously, and so I wanted to share it with you.
I’m looking forward to visiting the exhibit because I’ve long been a fan of Ruth Asawa’s wire sculptures, but I wasn’t too familiar with the other artists.
The exhibit features six women who worked or lived in Mexico between 1940 and 1970, and runs until January 12th, 2020.
Take a look at the article and the head on over to the Art Institute to see the exhibit while it’s still here.
