The Mid-Century Modern Designs of Mel Smilow

I ran across this article about designer Mel Smilow, who along with his business partner Morton Thielle, had a small chain of furniture stores on the East Coast. Smilow designed their pieces himself, and everything was made here in the U.S. Definitely worth a read, and interesting to see some of their beautiful designs. In 2014, Smilow’s daughter, Judy, relaunched the brand, again, making everything here in the U.S.
